About

Anurag Singh

Hindi stand-up comedian. Born in Banaras, raised in railway colonies, now living in Pune.

Anurag Singh is a stand-up comic with one foot in Banaras and the other stuck in the strange machinery of modern India. He finds comedy in family victories, corporate absurdity and the private disasters we somehow turn into stories.

He grew up in railway colonies, where every neighbour knew your father's posting and your board-exam marks. A switch from a desi school to a convent school gave him an accent problem he still talks about on stage. Then came the jobs: the first offer letter, the night shifts, the family that kept asking about a government job.

All of it became material. His sets are story-led and specific: vivid pictures, sharp observations, and the warmth of someone who knows he might be part of the problem.

Today he performs solo shows and club line-ups in Pune, and clean corporate sets for companies across Pune and Mumbai.
